Announcement of the award of the Hazel Williamson Bursary
The Hazel Williamson Bursary is awarded annually in memory of Hazel Williamson, who was an active and enthusiastic member of the SHINe Committee. The award is made to support fees associated with a professional development activity, up to a maximum of £500. In the past, recipients of the award have attended conferences or study days which will benefit the recipient and their SHINe colleagues. Recipients are asked to write a report of their activities for the SHINe Journal.
There were three excellent entries for this year's award. The Committee decided to award the bursary to Christine Cather. Christine is the Outreach Librarian for Glasgow Addiction Services and will be attending a course in July entitled: 'Strong and Clear - Holistic leadership, group dynamics and speak your truth'. Congratulations to Christine and we look forward to her report in due course.
