Wikipedia protests US anti-piracy legislation
On the 18th of January, Wikipedia and other sites, launched an online protest of US anti-piracy laws by blacking out their English materials.
The Bill being considered by US Congress aims to stop online piracy and has been supported by media, film and music industries. Many others suggest that the legisltation could severely inhibit people's access to online information and place a heavy burden on website owners to police user contributed material.
