Stroke4Carers - new website from Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland
A new website will be launched on 29 November at the UK Stroke Forum in Glasgow.
The stroke4carers website is for unpaid carers, family and friends of anyone affected by stroke illness. It offers practical advice, information and support free online whenever you need it. The information is presented in an interesting and easy to understand way by giving practical tips, film clips, interactive graphics and quizzes. If you are a new stroke carer or if you have been a stroke carer for months or years, you should find information to help you.
Healthcare professionals working with stroke patients can also help their patients, clients and stroke carers by directing them to use stroke4carers. The website is part of the STARS (Stroke Training and Awareness Resource) which also includes core competencies and advancing modules for healthcare professionals in stroke care.
The website was developed in collaboration with the National Advisory Committee for Stroke, CHSS, University of Edinburgh and Big lottery Fund Scotland.
