INTUTE
This is a perennial favourite of mine and I use it with such regularity that I should be able to collect club points for schools. I find it incredibly useful for health searches where there is a socio-economic or health improvement angle and you need to find good quality grey literature. Government, academic, think tank, voluntary agencies stuff all rolled into one. Two recent searches looking at interventions for smoking in young people and alcohol related harm. It is not a catch-all site, it is not a Tesco Extra, but you will find some of your basic info here especially when you are trying to get 'a feel for a topic'. You are still going to have a shop around for the bespoke highly specific material. It has medicine, dentistry, nursing and midwifery sections; but don't let that stop you from poking around in other sections. There is some customisation via MyIntute where you can save results, get alerts and export records.
