JISC Digital Media

If you are like me and perhaps lack the practical expertise, and dare I say sufficient interest, in using images then this could help you.  Whilst trying to extend my own knowledge and ability to use images I came across the JISC Digital Media site.  Blow me down I thought, I am saved.  Although aimed at the Further Education and Higher Education communities most of what is available is free to anyone.

There are overviews, basic guides and advanced guides on using still images, moving images, and cross media including audio.  Read this initially, and if like me you can stop sounding like a luddite.  OK so you are all more advanced than me, I know what you need.  Wet your whistle on this; information on managing projects (with case studies), digitising analogue media, creating new digital media and managing your digital resources.  There are 3 excellent guides available, firstly for digitisation project staff, secondly digital media for teaching and research and thirdly for business and community engagement.  So, whilst I was only wanting to find out about finding images in blogs and wikis I got a whole lot more.  So go on, find out more about using images via JISC.
